#704 It's all about the lead | Kathy Ellem - WITHDRAWN
Oil on linen
Height: 79cm. Width: 120cm.
WITHDRAWN
I admire draught horses for their strength and steady calmness. At a time when animals used for labour or business is under fire, I would like to quietly suggest there is a positive side to the bonds formed in those situations.
I've received two Australia day Awards for contribution to the arts, numerous awards, most notably the National Equine Art Prize $8000 in 2017, three awards from two shows with WAOW in the USA, and the John Villiers Outback Art Prize, $10,000. I was featured on the front cover and an article in Australian Artist Magazine, March 2019. I have held solo and joint exhibitions annually in regional galleries across Australia and manage my own gallery in Beechworth.
