#288 Carbon Processing Units No. 3 | Ross Hucks
Silkscreen on Digital Photographic Print
Height: 76cm. Width: 56cm.
This piece is part of a series that explores the differences and similarities between manmade carburettors and flowers. While the exploding lines of the diagram are reflected in the flower filaments the flat uniform colour and sharp edges of the silkscreen contrast with soft lines and variegated colours of the digital print
I started my arts career later in life, in part to escape the mental stress of working as a doctor, there is something primal in hitting a delicate image with an electric sander. I use contrasts in differing media and their interactions, in imagery, line, edge, technique, theme and colour.
