#754 Le Co(ck)q | Andrew Lockhart
Copper sheet metal, vice, plumbing pipe, stripped electrical cable, stainless steel spring, stainless steel rod, electrical earth clamp, screws
Height: 45cm. Width: 34cm. Depth: 19cm.
This is my first time entering an art prize, I have always been mechanically minded and worked with my hands my whole life I discovered making sculptures in 2018 while dealing with chronic pain, mental illness and past trauma. My method of construction is impulsive, unplanned and rushed, I let my available materials determine what the end product will be.
In 2019 I left Brisbane to live in the gold coast hinterland where I am setting up a fruit farm and would like to help fund the purchase of farm materials by selling my artwork, another goal is to set up an outdoor gallery in the bush part of my property.
