#67 Indigenous interpretation of Vincent Van Goghs 'Almond Blossom' | Tammy Bowdern
Acrylic on canvas
Height: 40cm. Width: 50cm.
My favourite Vincent Van Gogh painting is his ‘Almond Blossom’. I was fortunate to see his painting in Amsterdam in 2017, and it is my intention to honour this painting in my Indigenous style.
I’m a Koombumerri Indigenous Artist. In 2014 I was diagnosed with cancer. In 2017 I picked up a paint brush and started painting. Painting brings me peace of mind and I feel connected to my Grandmother and through my art I honour her. She guides my work.
