#66 Earth Mother | Tania Glanville

$2,000.00

Acrylic on Birchboard

Height: 93cm. Width: 85cm.

In this work I look at Mother Earth and the connection between humans, the planet and all life. A bird is fed, cared for by a human mother, as a reminder that we need to reconnect and re assume our responsibility to the land and all living creatures. I think about the current state of our world as a result of us forgetting our roles as caretakers for the next generation. We have, for too long only pursued the dollar at all costs. This work is a reminder that we need to change, that at the moment all future life is dependent on us and what we do, it’s a reminder of the caring nurturing role to which we must return.
