#646 Long Hard Climb | Dana Lundmark
Ceramic
Height: 30cm. Width: 14cm. Depth: 14cm.
Humans are conditioned to strive, reach for the stars. Life for many of us is a long hard climb. A climb toward happiness and togetherness. Step by step, we eventually reach the summit and meet like-minded people with whom we form a collective. It is by sharing and giving that we finally enjoy the view from the top.
When I touched clay in 2015 I discovered a new medium that felt so natural it gave me the chance to create sculptural and functional objects, allowing me to incorporate years of painting knowledge into 3-dimensional art. After only 6 months of working with clay, I was fortunate to exhibit my first 3 pieces at Mu Ceramics Studio Gallery, Sydney. I then decided to get formal training and the result is my completion of Diploma in Ceramics (2017) and Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts (Ceramics), 2019.
