#324 Damn That Phone! | Jean Fysh
Pastel on sanded paper
Height: 58cm. Width: 44cm.
I enjoy creating still lifes using objects from my domestic collection. I hadn't drawn fabric for quite a while and the old tea towel fitted well with the other elements. This also suggested the title of the piece. The tongue and groove background seemed a good idea too. I appreciate the versatility of pastels to illustrate so many diverse surfaces.
I have lived and worked in the country most of my life and had no time for art until retiring to Warwick. I joined a casual art group and learned to use and love pastels. I also enjoy drawing charcoal portraits of family members.
