#203 Morton's Mountains | Annette Bukovinsky

$750.00

Fired Porcelain (including bitumen)

Height: 23cm. Width: 25cm. Depth: 13cm.

To better understand human/nature relationships at this time of ecological instability, I have sought the insight of the philosopher, Timothy Morton and his theories surrounding the interdependency of all entities. Two domes are presented with the hope that humanity recognises the forces of industry significantly impacts the needs of nature.

My practice largely centres on investigating humanity's relationship with nature via the use of clay. Clay is a material that is known paradoxically for its strength and fragility. As such, it has many relatable characteristics that may increase the dialogue regarding the challenges that threaten the vitality of our planet.
