#112 On the Brink | Pamela Pauline - WITHDRAWN
Pure Pigment Print on 100% Cotton Rag Paper
Edition of 20 + 2AP
Height: 120cm. Width: 80cm.
WITHDRAWN
In this unconventional photographic landscape entitled “On the Brink”, all of the flora and fauna featured are native to Australia and listed as threatened species. Composed entirely from images I have taken in the past year, this artwork forms part of my Bush Tapestries: Hanging by a Thread Series 2020.
Despite our endangered animals receiving most of the media attention, three quarters of Australia’s threatened species are plants. Plants form the backbone to all life on earth but many are facing major threats including habitat loss, inappropriate fire regimes, introduced plant diseases, feral animals and climate change.
