#249 Trio of Earth Vessels | Paula Bowie

$950.00

Stoneware Clay

Height: 27cm. Width: 22cm. Depth: 22cm.

These 3 wood fired vessels speak the notions of ritual, commemoration and the passage of time. My hope is that they evoke feelings of curiosity, a desire to lift the lid and peer inside. Do they bring thoughts of ceremony or custom or whisper words of nourishment and hearth?

As a ceramic artist, I am constantly inspired by the versatile landscapes of Qld. I enjoy the tactile nature of clay and its malleability, allowing it to make challenging forms. I channel observation of Nature in my clay work. Clay as an organic material and artistic medium both inspires and constantly surprises me, which fuels my love for this medium and my craft.
