The Carnival Is Over | Anthony Dutton
Digital Photograph

Carousel horses, clowns and other items wait in the back of a dark, dingy workshop for restoration. My aversion to clowns led me to interpreting the scene as the clowns trying to bite the frightened horses as they leap clear of the clowns.
Nikon D800 with AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED lens at 28mm, ISO 1600, 1/45th second and f/8. Handheld in low light. Raw image processed in Lightroom with conversion to monochrome and local tonal adjustments.
