The Wanaka Tree growing defiantly out of lake Wanaka is one of the most beautiful pieces of nature I've ever seen. It's a place I would recommend anyone to visit in their lifetime. But if you do go make sure to pack some warm gear. At 5:30 when I took this photo in New Zealand's winter my hands were so cold it took me 5 minutes to get my neutral density filter on. When taking this photograph my intentions were to create a silky smooth atmosphere with water and cloud leaving the shutter open for as long as possible while also capturing the crisp sharp details of the Tree. Fortunately this came to fruition beautifully.
