Hear Us | Hayley Roberts
Inkjet print on fine art archival paper
66cm x 66cm
With ‘Hear us’ I was considering how, in desperation, Mother Nature might attempt to dress like a human to have her concerns taken seriously. I’m awed by the way the planet maintains balance but with the rise of humans it seems conditions are shifting faster than the earth can regulate. I photographed myself in a dress and head wrapped in leaves then replaced my body with cut branches, roots and vines. The magpie was hanging around while I was shooting.
