Digital photographs on Chromalux metal

30.48cm x 60.96cm

I was fortunate to photograph young ballerinas one afternoon at Canungra. I wanted to use Intentional Camera Movement to convey the fleetingly beautiful nature of dance. What we see is transitory but nonetheless powerful. These 3 impressionistic images complement each other in mood and story.

Nikon D750, 24-120mm f4.0 lens, ISO 400, 1.3 - 1.6 sec at f/9.0, hand-held. The technique of Intentional Camera Movement produced an impressionistic image. Clarity and exposure adjustments in Lightroom. Cloning in Photoshop to remove distractions; a blue texture added with ‘Soft Light’ blend mode to soften the images further.
