In late November 2019, I was astounded by the sheer number of trees that had been killed off by the Mountain-Pine Beetle infestation. In their haphazard resting places, these trees also remind me of pick-up sticks, a fun game of skill and dexterity. In a way, I liken this game to photography and finding the balance between capture and expression.
