Photographing your work
To enter the 2024 Stanthorpe Art Prize we require two images of your work for 2D artworks, and three images for 3D artworks. Good images are the single most important part of your entry (aside from the work itself!).
Our judges select the works to shortlist based on these images alone, so it is of utmost importance that you submit the best images possible of your work.
Around 140 works will be selected to be a part of the 2024 Stanthorpe Art Prize exhibition. Entries close 31 May and judges receive images shortly after. Judges then review and shortlist the entries.
Judges select based on the images supplied, the category as chosen by the artist, and the artwork title only - all other aspects of the work are anonymous.
Judges will then visit the gallery in person and award the prizes upon viewing these works a few days before the official opening on the 6th September.
Photo requirements:

one detail - show a smaller section of the artwork in detail so your technique is demonstrated
3D artwork: upload three images per artwork
one from the front
one from the side or back
one detail - show a smaller section of the artwork in detail so your technique is demonstrated
