Los Secretos II (The Secrets II) | Paula Quintela
Ceramic, plastic, acrylic paint.
Height: 50cm. Width: 30cm.
Quintela has given a 3-dimensional form to the creatures that inhabit the forests of her imagination.
My artistic approach is always one of constant state to introducing new elements to my existing provenance. Drawing from my early childhood memories in Chile, being born into a creative and diverse family, I was drawn to my parents, both artists, and their creative passions for painting, drawing and sculpture. And it was this desire for expression that led me to undertake studies in fine arts at Universidad de Chile. Being Chilean does not define me, but has directly influenced my artistic journey with its unique cultural history.
