Women in fairytales are presented in an outdated and heavily sexualised way. This work is a humorous spin, ridiculing some of the most well-known stories: The Princess and the Frog, Cinderella, Snow White, Aladdin. The princesses have all been ‘birdified’, but there are oh so many more outdated stories.
Art has changed my life. It is my way of communicating, exploring, and expressing how I see the world around me. I have a love of birds and have gained much joy out of encapsulating the personality and soul of others into my unique 'bird' portraits.
