Life Beyond Decay shows a tree that is old and broken down, however, it can still support life. Animals utilise everything in their environment. The lorikeet has found a sanctuary within an old tree which in turn brings beauty and life back to something dead.
I work in the field of animal conservation and use art to showcase the beauty of wildlife and spread awareness of the struggle they face. I create works by cutting paper as the medium itself is delicate like our ecosystem. The more that’s taken away, the more fragile it becomes.
