Contemporary art photography is about much more than bagging the beautiful shot. Stanthorpe Photography Awards 2021 wants to hear from photographers who explore the edges of their practice, their creativity, their technique. Any Australian photographer can enter for a chance to claim the $5,000 first prize. Two commendation awards, of $750 each, can also be won.

The inaugural exhibition’s judges, Dr Elisabeth Findlay, Director of the College of Art—Griffith University, and Mr Geoff Thompson, Collection Imager at the Queensland Museum, apply their unique skills and experience to a competition showcasing the diversity of 2-dimensional Photographic practice, creativity and technical excellence.
