Vale Joyce Gray

SRAG is incredibly sad about the passing of Joyce Gray. Joyce had a long allegiance with the gallery and exhibited on several occasions.

Pathways was booked over year ago and we are so glad it came to fruition before Joyce’s passing. Joyce had collaborated with the other exhibitors Roslyn Creevy, Maggie Brockie and Jodi Bowen before, and she was extremely excited about this body of work.

Maggie Brockie took a host of photos to the hospital to show Joyce the exhibition when it was finally installed. Roslyn, I, and other artists told her about the choices regarding the exhibition and talked about the final result. It certainly brought a big smile to her face and many nods of agreement.

Joyce was a shining light in the art world. Deeply committed to her art, she was driven by her spiritual pathway and told her stories through poetry and Art. Joyce lived an authentic life that everyone recognised. Many were touched by her truth and honesty.
