About the Program:
This program offers a fun and stimulating environment for children to explore various artistic techniques and themes. With a focus on skill development and self-expression, young artists will:
Experiment with drawing, printmaking, collage, painting, and sculpting.
Engage with diverse artistic styles like self-portraiture, abstraction, surrealism, still life, and more.
Build confidence and enjoy the process of creative exploration.
Schedule:
Week 1: Drawing Self-Portrait
Week 2: Printmaking Abstraction
Week 3: Collage Surrealism
Week 4: Painting Still Life
Week 5: Paper Mache Sculpture
Week 6: Painting Paper Mache Sculpture
Attendance: While regular attendance is encouraged, it's not mandatory for those with scheduling conflicts.
Teacher: Taylah is an interdisciplinary artist, who has a background in fine arts, education, birthwork and community development. She is passionate about supporting individuals and the collective community to explore art as a mode of sense making, to build a connection with one’s creativity and expression while developing practical skills.
