The Children’s Technology Centre at QUT regularly hosts engaging ‘Stay and Play’ sessions related to digital technologies, open for children and their families to enjoy. At the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery you are welcome to ‘Stay and Play’ with your child/children and have the chance to delve into interactive, hands-on digital technology activities featuring the Coding Express, BlueBot Trail Blazers, LEGO Spike Wonders, Instax Cameras, and Dash Dancers. Engage in these exciting, hands-on activities and unlock insights into the potential of digital technologies.

THURSDAY 21 SEPTEMBER 9-10am: Blocks and Bots. Be creative, construct, and code with a fun morning of Duplo building challenges and exploring with robots.
FRIDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 9-10am: Training around Stanthorpe. Embark on an exciting coding adventure through a Stanthorpe Journey with the LEGO Coding Express. Build landmarks and attractions for the train to visit.
Children aged 7-10
THURSDAY 21 SEPTEMBER 11am-12: My Stanthorpe. Explore photography using Instax cameras to capture the fascinating world of the insects and plants of Stanthorpe. Craft and showcase your images with a small exhibition.
FRIDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 11am-12: Robot Insects. Construct and code a LEGO robot inspired by nature and make it move without wheels. Watch them crawl, flap, spin, or wriggle in this hands-on workshop.
