Mieke’s aim is to take you through some ways of finding starting points, discovering open ended pathways to new artworks. Join us to enjoy a social and playful workshop ‘in situ’ and around the table.
Workshop Outline:
Introduction about Mieke’s visual art practice starting with early travels, workshop notes, artist-in-residence and chasing ideas in a diary
A hand out to paste in your A5 diary (diary supplied)
Make thumbnails in a concertina booklet with ‘in situ’ line drawings
With A3 200gr paper/oil pastel/ink you will make a ‘ground’ and fold this into a booklet to add ∙ text, collage, gesso, ink etc

Artist Bio
Mieke has been a practicing artist working in the visual arts in book illustration, community arts, textiles and her digital medium tag is… #ephemeralbrush.
She is an active member of the Spinners Weavers Fibre Artisans of Ipswich and participates in exhibitions, festivals, markets and workshops.
The Granite Belt has been a destination for some 13 years where she has exhibited with Borderline Regional Arts Association and Stanthorpe Art Prize.
