This recent publication examines women in leadership and how they dress in Asia – Indonesia and Hong Kong, as well as Pakistan and Bangladesh. We reviewed prominent female figures in the Australian parliament from the 1900’s onwards, and women serving as Prime Ministers in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. In the USA we review the fashion trends of first ladies Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama. Overall, the difficulty of women’s political engagement depends a great deal on how the media criticises their clothing.
