A unique opportunity to see all of Australia’s 1,800 plus threatened species in a whimsical community art exhibition where nothing is for sale. Illustrated by over 200 people across the nation these tiny artworks address our biodiversity crisis and the need for new laws for Nature.

Features 32 species that are specific to the area of Stanthorpe and will mark the official beginning of an ongoing national community art project, known as Day of the Species.

Artist & Curator Carmel Killin

Carmel Killin is a designer, educator, writer, activist – driven by the principles of social and environmental justice, regenerative sustainability, visual story telling and good design. Her many years teaching communications and design in the tertiary sector, running a small eco design business, wwoofing around the country, writing for and volunteering with the Wilderness Society and Renew have led to environmental and social justice activism, of an art and craft persuasion.
